Remember that land line phone we talked about in our National Preparedness Kit? Well, mine came in handy today. Yesterday my regular phone in my office started acting strange so my husband went out to get replacement batteries ($24 ugh!). And the phone had to charge for 24 hours.
Today when I got a call, the phone was still malfunctioning. So I grabbed my land line phone out of my emergency drawer, and voila! - all set up. Except for the fact that I can't tell who is calling. But we'll deal with that another day. At least I have a phone!
